Girls and weights

Alot of ladies dont seem to understand weights will not make you look like a man and cardio alone will not give you the results you want.

The myth

To tap into the biggest myth that most women believe with regards to looking masculine, one thing that should be noted is that women just do not naturally produce as much testosterone as men. It would be relatively difficult for a woman to put on as much muscle mass as a man by just adding in a bit of weight training. So unless you plan on taking steroids and looking like ....


you have nothing to worry about.

The term “skinny fat” that’s the look of the girl who seems thin but also seems to be fat and soft at the same time because she spends endless hours on cardio machines. To gain the tight and tone look, some strength training is going to be necessary.

Another thing is, there is no difference in training techniques between males and females. We can do everything they can, same excercises, same tempos, and for some of us, even the same weight.

If lifting weights seems intimating or you’re not sure how to go about it, don’t just dismiss it. Its important to learn and understand, educating yourself is going to be key. There are a lot of great videos online, nicely written and detailed articles in women’s magazines and not to mention personal trainers that would love to help you with your questions. Don’t be afraid to go heavy. What’s the point in dreaming over that body you want if you’re not going to do what it takes to get it!
